OPTION DATE FOR REGULATION 7 NOTE( 1) EXTENDED

Punjab State Electricity Board has adopted a recent circular issued by Punjab Govt ,regarding pay fixation for 5th pay commission .As per original pay regulations issued on 27.05.2009 by Punjab Govt ,an employee ,whose increment was due in Jan 2006 ,may opt for January 2006 Increment either in new scale or in old scales .This option is according to Note 1 as per regulation 7.But in option form ,annexed with the original regulations ,has no column to opt for such option .And due to non availability of appropriate column in  the option form ,many employee are left to avail the benefit of this clause .so Punjab Govt has issued a new circular dated 9-10/12/2009 vide which ,all such employees(increment due in January ,2006) may give revised options upto 31.01.2009 if they want to exercise this option on new option form.Further if they have already exercised this option then they are not required to fill the revise form again.
Further PSEB has adopted the above circular vide FC-31 dated 30-12-2009..
